Africa Fashion: Connecting Threads in Chicago celebrates the vibrancy of contemporary African fashion and the cultural histories behind it. For this exhibition, I collaborated with the curators to create mixed-media storytelling pieces, contributing as both videographer and photographer for and exhibition graphics and the central gallery projection featuring designer Jennifer Akese-Burney’s work.

I also crafted the exhibition’s concluding documentary, an intimate look at the creative practices of Chicago fashion designers. Featuring designer’s Melody Boykin, Olivia Ogbara and Stephane St. Jaymes, the film highlights the artistry and vision that shape Chicago’s fashion community.
