Pokémon fossil Museum Exhibition

This exhibition invites guests to explore the fascinating world of Fossil Pokémon alongside the real prehistoric creatures that inspired them. Through media displays and scientific discoveries, visitors learn how certain Pokémon are revived from fossils and uncover the paleontological research that influenced their creation. By connecting popular culture with real-world science, the exhibition offers a unique look at the relationship between Pokémon and the ancient life forms that shaped their designs.

POKÉMON ATMOSPHERIC Projection Concept

Following a five-day research and planning trip to Japan, the Field Museum team met with representatives from The Pokémon Company to review the original exhibition design, which did not include any video content. Through collaboration with The Pokémon Company, I proposed and produced three original video installations that would help bring the exhibition to life through footage of gameplay storytelling.

The first gallery space features two monitor-based videos focused on Pokémon evolution and Pokémon Professors, alongside a large-scale atmospheric projection showcasing dynamic gameplay moments including exploration, battles, and capturing Pokémon. To create these pieces, The Pokémon Company provided select game footage and music. While the exhibition team and I recorded additional gameplay across multiple Pokémon titles to expand the visual content available for the project.

As Producer and Editor, I organized the media assets, selected the gallery music, and crafted the final three video experiences. My videos served as proof-of-concept media that helped realize and enhance The Pokémon Company's vision for the exhibition intro videos.
